hmm, you might have nailed it. But I don't usually lower it so I can stack more shopping bags in the back.

I might have to compare the spacings next time I go to the shop.

Yep I agree. I think its had something move up against it while the tailgate was down.

Not a trolley. These days they're smooth on top.

Leaning towards having reversed into a stiff hedge/shrub. It does have more overhang  than a Kardashian rear end.....

The scratches are too regularly spaced to be from anything not man-made.....IMO....
