ipad and galaxy tab A

I have ipads ..have the adapters and can load photos and video footage direct onto ipads no probs

got the Galaxy tab a and purchased the OTG adaptor ..

the andriod device wont allow video camera or MUVI hd 10 or flip share to load up to the galaxy tab..

i think it is because they are high power usb devices and they cause the otg adaptor to switch off.. the cannon still camera ..no probs but not the video ..any thoughts or tips  I would hate to think the ipad is more flexible ..it cant be so

Ahh huh ..I had to buy an OTG plug but are you saying they may have powered ones that use the machines power?

If the charge port was also a usb not micro that would be easier ..i will see what i can find ..took the micro usb out of the video camera and it loaded up so its just the flip share with built in HD that wont work..maybe I can live with that I guess.

I bought 3 different adapters for my galaxy 3 tab and could never get it to work with any memory cards.
It was the only thing I ever hated about my galaxy, and was the reason I went back to an iPad.
My iPad will work with almost any memory card, which is what I need because I love taking pictures with my cameras and wanted an easy way to download them onto my tablet.
