Speaking of upgrade stories...     My brother was taking long service leave that was going to run into his retirement.   Bought a new off road van to tow behind the company leased Grand Cherokee.   He was 2 weeks away from The Big Trip when his son wrote off the Jeep and it looked like no more company car.   Why would they provide him with a replacement when he was never going back to work for them?   At best he thought he'd get a small sedan in place of the Jeep.
Fortunately there was a 2014 200 Series sitting idle and was made available after another employee was made redundant.
A happy ending  but I don't think he will let my nephew anywhere near the LandCruiser.
