Awning on a 'Cruiser Trayback Ladder Rack

Has anyone done this? My main issue is that, because of the height of the vehicle, I have to remove the rear rack to get the 'tilly into its pen so a permanent attachment is not on (pardon the pun)
I just saw the Super Peg awning thread which Bird just resurrected & thought the 2.5 wrap around would be good on the 'tilly for beach work.

Set up an "easy on, easy off" mounting system for a tray back. There must be tradies around who don't want an awning in the way of their work gear, surely.

Maybe there's money in this?

Yea Shane, sort of, although I'm looking for a way to have a fast attach/release setup as a lot of our fishing is "Spur of The Moment" stuff & if the tinny's on the racks then awning will be carried in the tray.

I didn't use the supplied brackets. It just bolts straight through the end plate on the ladder rack.
The bolts are captive in the aluminium plate on the awning. There's no need to hold the bolt or unpack the awning when fitting or removing. Just the 4 nuts.

That's one of the $150ish awnings from 4wd Supacenter at Brendale. I'm more than happy with it.

I have a few bits of RHS about 75mm long at maybe 500mm intervals on the roof rack.  I have a few bits of angle attached to the roof racks which slot neatly into the rhs.  I sometimes strap it down - other times I forget but it has never looked like coming off.
So I can take the awning on and off in a few seconds.  However given the weight of my awning (20kg??) it is a right pain if I lift it up and don't like up the 3 slots the first go.  Also it obviously requires attachment points on a roof rack or something similar ... but that's required regardles, I'd say.
