Why is it, that a dog turd can sit quietly on your back lawn without any perceptible  odour, but the instant that you either step in it or put it into a bag it stinks to high heaven  :'( :'( :'(

Just like a good salami, it forms a crust on the outside. But the goodness is in the middle
