Easy as - the 4wds are just an advertising tax deduction. ...   the Kedrons...   straight out of daddy's factory. ..   so no worries. ...

And as for their brand name - "the Gail boyz"....   o' their cynicism. ...    I mean they could hardly have the trade name:

"The Kedron Caravan Company  Marketing Division"...  LOL

At least the boys at "All For Adventure" and "Low Range" ...   and PatnHat etc tell you they are hoping to influence you; and sell you something. ...

Love the Gall Boys dvds..always entertaining and yes they thrash their gear, its good advertising for Toyota as all their trucks are fairly stock and they get hammered offroad!.Wonder what they do when they finish their trips, give them a polish and put them back o the used car lot?!!
Will be interesting to see how the Fortuner goes in this dvd

Love all4adventure, Pat ummm to many ads just dumped his whole season of the recorder after two eps. 

The galls make it clear this is testing and not to do it with there vans.  For many shows they used the same van and its special built to support a crew. Last one and this one looks like the new lighter van designed for playdohs etc.

With the Toyotas  They also often show you them returning them to the dealer and proudly flaunt Toyota as a sponsor so not sure how they could tax write off borrowing a car?

Just rewatched the fim clip, That hilux in the slow mo part towing the van up the small bank climb , gives a good look at  how much the chassis flexes under load .. At about 2.03 into the vid.

Someone mentioned "All For Adventure"...

I have seen a few episodes and enjoyed them....

I don't recall their names - but Jason is the lead guy, right?     I like watching his antics - but his current sidekick; (Simon?) acts too bogon for my tastes.....     The previous side kick to the main guy was much better imho...    Simon actually comes across as a bit thick...   

But the previous one was like Mulder is to Scully

I like them, it's their van, they are product testing, and happen to film it. They can do what they want with it cause they own it. Not the cars but the vans.  I like the all 4 adventure guys, no they probably don't own much of their gear.  Can't stand mr 4x4 or roothy DVDs, I like John as a person but over his DVDs, and 4wdtv is still stuck in the 70's I think. Lol

If I had truck loads of money I'd be a spoilt little brats as well and I'd treat everything that I bought like I stole it.. Lol
