G'day

Looking for the best camp chair.  We have about a half dozen or more of various styles but now looking for a padded directors chair style.  Needs to have the seat higher off the ground than the standard chair as I like to be above the table when eating not looking up to it.  A side table with stubby holder would be good.  Have checked out all the major camping stores but can't find the exact thing.  Happy to pay up to about $150 for the right one.

I've got a pair of these Directors Chairs and just love them. Great to sit in at a table when eating and they fold down flat for storage and transport. I got mine from BCF. They are currently on special for $49.99ea untill 24/12/2015 at BCF.

Yeah - I am in Mandurah and went to Getaway.  Also went to BCF.  That Oztrail was one of the better chairs I tried.  The wife sat in a chair that the neice has called King Goanna or something - but it was a gift to her from someone and not sure where it is sold.  Can find King Gecko on a search but can't see King Goanna.

The King Goanna is a OZ Tent branded chair.  http://www.kulkyne.com/au/King-Goanna-Chair.html  Could try Rays. I think they do OZ Tent stuff.  Trust me though you need to sit in that Oztrail Cascade 8...they also do a Cascade 5 which doesn't have the side table and is a bit cheaper.  Took me a long time to find a chair this good

I've been looking for a comfortable camp chair as well.
Tried a few at anaconda and liked a model from Dune...just can't remember the exact details.
But anything that doesn't have cross bars at the seat itself is a good start....in my opinion.

It doesn't have to be a specific brand, but anything that has the hard armrests, is rated at least 110kg's, even better if it's a steel frame ( they are heavier, but WILL last the distance ) and is comfortable for YOU to sit in.

Those chairs that recline are great, but are harder to get out of....and even harder when you nod off to sleep in them and miss a beer or two !!  ;D ;D  And they take up more room when packed up.

Great advice...

The issue is finding somewhere with more than their own "built to a price" chairs in stock...
