Fridge problem

I have an Evakool Rf 60 DT. about 15 years old. My problem is it just keeps cycling.
I can get it down to -22 so the compressor is ok.
I can turn the temp knob to 0 and it will turn off, I can then turn the knob around to it comes on again, that could be 3 to 7, but once on it will not turn off unless I do it manually.
Is this the way the thermostat works or is it faulty?

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

I had a similar problem.  It was a faulty thermostat.
