It was a totally different genre really eh, apart from the Yank stuff... When you look back, we had a lot of overlooked talent back in those days.

Listening to Sunnyboys at the moment.

Your right Kanga it was Saturday arvo not Sunday, remember now down the Pier Hotel (Aztecs were resident band) on Friday night, work Saturday morning, home and give the car a quick tub then usually down to South Side home and get changed then into the club's in town for the night. Can you remember the name of the little jazz club near the RMIT, we used to hang there sometimes until the band's come on later in the night

After a (not) so hard day of finishing off a few jobs, its kicking back and enjoying a beer time.  Got some beef shorties on the low and slow. One of my favourite Stones albums is cranking, so many great blues tracks on it.

Cheers Glen

Was a tad territorial back then, SS6, Sandy, Mentone, Keysey, Villiage Green etc, ended up bouncing at most of them.
Every now and again would wander into the Chevron and friday nights bounced at St.Kilda FC, Richmond FC and Fitzroy FC.
Good times.

Sure were good times, spent a fair bit of time at the Village Green as well , my local was the Sandown Park. Think your from Keysborough, I spent those years in Springvale South at my parents place so we would have spent a lot of time in the same pubs at the same time. Bloody great times with a great music scene, spent way too much on booze tho

Swap between modern country on Spotify or 1940s war-time jazz on vinyl these days.

My father trained me well. Nothing like a bit of Glenn Miller for raising the spirits.

If you like your psychedelic rock mixed with a bit of funk & a touch of jazz, these guys are a good listen.
Not quite sure about the double recorder solo in the middle of this one, but the rest is pretty cool
