Free Camp Cobar Side of Wilcannia

Hi Everyone,

   Can any one tell me what the Free Camp is like on the Cobar side of Wicannia. Is it safe etc & what is the name of it. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

We came through there two weeks ago from Broken Hill, but it was dark as we came through Wilcannia. There is a caravan park sign just on the eastern side of town, but it is still within walking distance.....
If you come a bit further towards Cobar or even Nyngan you will be OK.
Between Nyngan and Cobar there are a couple of large overnight stops that would be suitable.
There is also the Hermidale pub which is between Nyngan and Cobar. You could probably put your camper up there if you ask and maybe have a feed there?
Anywhere along there will be a little noisy with the trucks travelling till all hours.
