Whats not to like about Rainbow today ... Sun sparkling up the sea with 3 knt gentle breeze,  1 ft surf and low tide in an hour, 24* air 20* deg water temps plus a bit of scattered rain cloud on the DI Point side and horizon ...

Hey Jeepers, I am thinking about grabbing a kayak to bring up, having not used one before I was wondering how the tidal flow is around the area. I would hate to get washed out to sea.

You'll be fine with the Kayak. As well as using in the straights it would be good to take out to the point for a paddle if there is no or little surf, which I am kind of expecting.
