Stupid parking meter!

Visiting Toowoomba, Qld, parked in a center car parking bay and went to the movies.  When leaving said dam stupid parking bay took out the car side step and damaged the door.  How you ask?  Well the meter is located right at the front of the parking bay and as you drive out into a space during heavy traffic you tend to turn right quickly and because you have parked cars in front of you you tend to turn a little too quickly!!!!      
Yep, why did I not stop as soon as the car hit you ask.  Good question.  A bit of, bloody hell cars coming fast down the road, it is just scrapping a bit no real harm to keep going and the momentum of forward travel as I was attempting to get out of the park after waiting for some time for a gap in the traffic.     Went back to see how much damage to the meter pole and saw all the meters along there had damage.  I was not the first to get caught out by the placement of the meters!  But I know, I should have been more careful and as my wife said, 'more patient'!!!!!!       Kevin
