Hey everyone.

I'm setting up my hard floor camper trailer and am interested to know what everyone takes camping with them. Also what they always keep stored in/on their camper trailer.

I've searched the forum but haven't found anything.

Thanks, Mitch.

you will get options from FA to you'll need a B double to carry it all..

Best thing you can take is a pad and pencil and a tape measure. Slowly over many trips you will work out what works and jettison what doesn't. Everyone is different

Start minimalist, as suggested by Scrarps, and add essential items only.....

Really depends on factors only suitable for your circumstances.....

I've seen families with flat screen TVs out camping. Not for us but they seem happy. I'm in the minimalist school but as punter says start out and refine from there.
For us, everything we need lives in the CT. so it's just chuck in some food and some clothes and away we go

Pack what you think and if you go away over a year and you don't use it turf it.

I have two different packs depending on what season it is
Need to get the backside into gear and get out camping

No undies will do if ya pushed for space to put an extra carton.
I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

Cheers guys. I know there will be a lot of different answers. I'd just like to try and take the basics which I already have sorted out. Have got a couple of storage boxes to keep in the camper with pots, pans cutting boards etc. then another with some basic food, sauces, stuff like that. They will stay in the camper.

I just wanted ideas on what others take with them.

G'day Mitch,
I can't find it ATM but there is an existing thread on here. If you do a search, that has your answers.

This is cool some good ideas, if you get the "Wiki camps" app, you can add your list and check things off before you head off.
Also a pretty good app anyway.

Mitch bugger all the sensible ideas. Throw in as much stuff as you can fit and come into the 'all the gear with no idea club' like me. ;D

I think the only way to tell is when you nearly get at the divorce stage with the wife, or murder whichever comes first, during set up then you know you may have gone too far

Thanks for all the replies. Some great ideas there.

I guess the biggest thing will be where you are camping, either remote areas or a van park that has power/water facilities.

Don't forget to pack enough alcohol for you and your wife. Happy wife, Happy life.

I have a tub on my camper that I keep "beach" stuff in for the kids. If we are going camping in the bush, I take the box out and leave it at home.
