Starts tonight...anyone else going to have a few late nights over the next 3 weeks watching it?
Can't say I'll watch all of it, but I do like to watch a decent amount of it when I can

TDF?? Tour De Franga ???
fixed it for you, and yes I watch it as much as my insomnia allows

A nice stage 1 win for Australia's Rohan Dennis last night in a record average speed time, would have been hard for him sitting back watching the others trying to better his time in the following couple of hours i reckon. Only rider to go under 15 minutes also  8) 8) Considering the previous average speed record was set on a distance half what they rode today, that's a pretty impressive effort for him.

you clearly don't watch it. ;D
Definitely no hair on these riders, they put many Gillette products to the test, but possibly lot's of sweat.

Yep, love the TDF every year. For a small country with insignificant 20 mil people our cycling standard is far and above our ratio of people. Since Phil Anderson and others in the 80s took on and showed little respect for political sporting correctness, I have followed avidly. Phil showed real Aussie spirit vs the night of European cycling and smacked their a$$.
Now we have an Aussie team and win several stages.
Love it.

That was a nasty crash they had in the race last night, Simon Gerrans has withdrawn after that. 4 other riders out also, including Fabian Cancellara who completed the stage but found out later he'd broken 2 vertebrae in his back.

Slowly and painfully - but getting a little better each day.

Hoping to be out of the wheelchair in two weeks, get the pins out of my finger today, ribs are all healed, but now the shoulder is giving me the most grief - still can't get much movement out of it at all.

I'm allowed to start on the indoor trainer tomorrow  (getting on and off will be the hardest thing) so hopefully the first slow turn of the legs goes well.

Rumpig

Geez there's been some stacks in the race already...even saw a police bike go down the other day on a wet road.

The speeds of the crashes seems to be higher this year to.  :o

It makes me laugh when you hear the likes of footballers and other athlete's wing about backing up twice in one week but these blokes do it for three weeks and only 2 or 3 rest days.  :cup:

Foo
So long as you have tried your best, you should have no regrets.

then have 11 months and a week off.

Watch the highlights everyday......cannot wait for the mountains to come as the bunch finishes can be boring.
