bugger the taxi mate, roads would be jammed everywhere and fare would cost a bucket load. The correct answer is your last line... find a pub and watch the footy, then go home after the rain eases up.

I've just been checking out a few rainfall figures about the place. Since 9.00 a.m today Morayfield has had 291mm and Elimbah 310mm of rain...not hard to see why there's flooding about so many places at the moment.
News is showing idiots who've tried to cross flooded roads and gotten stuck or washed away, including some lady in Bundy saying "i don't want this on the news" ...do people ever learn? ???

Like a bad meal, it shall pass.

And it did, straight through our house, apparantly.   >:(

Been sitting in the car on the Hwy since 3pm. High tide is in another hour or so, hopefully the water starts to drop soon after then ???
With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

No, they don't.
The "Light of My Life" was heading home this arvo, at 60kph, in heavy rain in the not quite standard Disco & a bloke in a 2wd wheeled around her, hit about 6" of water & speared of the road. She did slow to see if he was OK. Unfortunately he was still alive >:D
