So am planning on putting together a tool kit to keep in the camper. Now I know I'll forgot something I will need Murphy said so. So what's in your kit so I can pinch you hard work and planning ;D

Here's our basic spares that we keep in the camper in two small plastic tool boxes, any other ''BIG TRIP'' spares are on the cruiser.

•   SWING ARM BUSHES X 3 SETS
•   WHEEL BEARING GREASE X 2 TUBES
•   SMALL D SHACKLE X 2
•   7 PIN ROUND PLUG MALE X 1 large
•   WAX STICK X 1, WATER PROOFING SPRAY
•   2 X SETS OF WHEEL BEARINGS ( used )....... PACKED AND BAGED
•   1 x SET NEW WHEEL BEARINGS..........in box
•   2 X AXLE SEALS
•   2 X SET OF WHEEL STUDS & NUTS = 12 of each
•   AXLE WASHER & CASTLE NUT x 4............and S/S Shim Washers
•   DUST CAPS X 4
•   POLE PARTS.......MIXED
•   3 "R" CLIPS  plus 1 x SNAP CLIP
•   ZIP TIES.........large & small
•   DIN PLUGS, male x 3...................female x 2
•   MSA RUBBISH BAG FOR REAR TYRE

My tool box contains all the spares/ attachments , tools , bush mechanics special options , stuff that could be handy , things that l wont travel with out  , service manuals  , long length of 8 gauge fencing wire & a pinch of luck that l wont have to open it ever .  :cheers:

A hard shell slim toolbox and a carry bag that holds :  small roll of case wire, a roll of good 100MPH tape, big / small zip ties, ziplock bag of electrical crimps / tape and spare wire differing sizes .. assorted size hose clamps and 50mm off cuts of tube to fit inside essential engine hoses etc [ looking at replacing with silicone tape though ] engine belts and assorted small hoses ..
Small bag of screws assorted, small bag assorted bolts nuts washers to fit tug and trailer, tube of silicone gasket and bottle of forma gasket / two part epoxy strip, gasket paper roll ..
Dismantled hacksaw and blades stanly knife / scissors/ magnetc torch / hammer / tomahawk / wire cutters /vice grips/ sockets, spanners, pliers and screwdrivers assorted sizes to fit tug and trailer .
Sounds a lot but packs in the rear footwell on the drivers side of the 4runner,  for ease of access with room to spare for the aircomp bag and a bag with the fishing reel and gear to sit on top ..
We mostly only do coastal trips so distances between towns / help arnt that great if we strike trouble. Pre trip prep and monitoring on trip usualy picks up trouble before it becomes a major problem ..

watching with interest
after my last trip i had the thought of upgrading my tool box so will hopefully pick up some good tips
atm i use a small duffel bag that has some scattered tools/spare parts in it.
was thinking of adding a slide out compartment/hatch on the side of the camper to house a top notch kit

I think I carry to much stuff ,but if I  don 't need it ,it might get some one else out of trouble .I have containers 1 with nuts & bolts ,1 with washers/cotter pins /hose clamps/electrical terminals.
Tool box ,screw driver case ,tool box with electrical wire ,gas soldering iron plus 240v one, 2x socket sets 1small 1large 1 tackle box filled with duc ,electrical ,magic ,cloth tapes ,cable ties . 2 sets camper trailer bearings ,1set spare spring shackles ,bearing grease ,grease gun , then the basics oil ,filters ,fuel filters, air filters ,hoses ,belts , and all this just off to top of my head now I've got a head ache better get a beer

Complete set of Sidchrome spanners; screw drivers, pliers; fuses; gaffer tape; WD40; 3 sizes of wrenches; jack stands; Stanley knife; lug wrench; spare fuel filters (1 for each of the 3 filters); spare radiator hose and belt; tarp; plus other stuff such a cable ties; 2 sets of gloves; .

Stanley tool kit in blow mould case - has spanners/sockets/screwdrivers.
Electrical tape.
Duct tape.
Zipties.
A few spare wheel studs and nuts.
Ocky straps.
Ratchet straps.
Clamp meter that can read DC.
Electrical spares (fuses/globes/Anderson plug/ciggie socket/solder/short bits of wire/crimps).
12V soldering iron.
Spare oil filter.
Plus other stuff I can't remember.  All sits in the space where the 3rd row of seats used to be in the Pajero.
