The casino does a pretty good meal.  If you want a really good meal there is a Thai and Indian restaurant further along from the casino at the Double Tree in Alice.  Kevin

The Kitchen at the Complete Campsite would be a good starting place :)

X2 for the Casino. KFC does a roaring trade with the locals...

Imagine if KFC sold VB in cans too, they would be the only store open up here.......

a couple of other places that we have enjoyed in the past include the Irish pub in Bath St and the Red Ochre Grill in the Mall. There you can get a tasting plate of croc, camel, roo etc. A great experience when in the Territory.

Cheers!

The RSL behind ANZAC hill does a good feed and is family friendly. Another vote for Juicy Rump at Casino, great steak sanga! there is a surprisingly good and cheap thai takeaway in Eastside, Eastside thai! thats over the river, in the Paris end of Alice! pretty good Indian takeaway near coles too.
Did you bring the cold weather with you? plurry cold here this week!

Went to a good Thai place in a market garden area, food was great, I'll see if I can dig out the address

Quotea good Thai place in a market garden area,
If it's the one I'm thinking of its in Heffernan Rd off Colonel Rose Drive.
Second the Juicy Rump and Red Ochre Grill, Juicy Rump is probably more toddler friendly with the outdoor area although Red Ochre has indoor and outdoor dining.
Try Piccolo's cafe at the top end of the mall for brekkie or morning tea, try the vanilla slice.

You might enjoy Casa Nostra for Italian - pizza, pasta, spag if thats your thing. Just over the bridge from the Tavern. Family style. I enjoyed a few meals there. But nothing til you fix the chainsaw.....
