I reckon I'll get another year or three out of The Tentagon, but it gets very warm inside in  the blazing Tassie sun...
I want a cheap fix thats quick to set up.
Is anyone using a "tropical fly" type setup using shadecloth?
I'm thinking that I could secure the ends with some bungee cord and use pool noodles to make a gap between the shade cloth and the canvas.
Thoughts???

Not sure how big your tent is, but I reckon your going to have to deal with a fairly heavy tropical roof cover if you use shade cloth [ its not exactly that light and gets a bit heavier when wet too ...
A better option would possibly be to get  a silver / white poly tarp fly made or there is a type of builders foil too that MySwaggers have used .
There is different color combo's in the poly,  they use it to cover the wheat out west and it has a 3yr full sun UV life span ..
Pics are of my last camper made from it . These guys can supply it. http://www.mytarp.com/poly-tarp-fabrics.aspx
