Matt that would be appreciated. Send me a pm.

The soil here is like digging through concrete. It is baked from the sun. I would rather leave them in the wild and collect the seeds.

Can you send me a PM on how to grow them as well please. We have heaps of them around here at the moment.

We bought a painting off a local artist. He had done one for a another person and we liked his work.

Penny flew to Kalgoorlie today to see a specialist about her hands and she sent some great pics.

It was a 9 seater plane she flew on. Her first time on a small plane.

Warburton from the air.

The salt lakes that are scattered around the place before coming into Kalgoorlie. They mine the gold underneath the lakes. You can see a perfect circle which is a current mine.

Just a bit of an update. The specialist Penny saw in Kal would have to be the worst one ever. She sat down in front of him and discussed the problem with her hands thinking it may be Carpel Tunnel as the systems seem to suggest that. The specialist said after checking her hands that she is going through menopause and needs to go on hormone replacement tablets. Penny said how he can come up with this synopsis without tests such as blood tests. The doctor replied blood tests are inconclusive and that at her age 40 she is getting old. I was stunned when she told me this. Any way she flew back to Warbuton and thankfully the cost of the flights were covered, $720.

Not happy with that she flew back out recently to Perth to get tested and has severe Carpel Tunnel in her right hand. She told the specialist at Perth Hospital what the other specialist said and he was stunned. Also the #^^* specialist at Kal did not tick the box on Penny's paperwork for the flights to be reimbursed as he diagnosed Menopause. The results will be sent to him. I should del it myself and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Any way long story short, she has to fly to Perth, a 4 hr flight, to see the specialist on the 20th August just for a 30min consultation for the surgery to be done 2 weeks later. We worked out it will be cheaper to find somewhere to stay in Perth as it will be cheaper than flying back. and forth. She is now off work for 2 months until she has the op and all good to come back to work.

Costs so far including flights, taxi, accommodation $2700. Ouch. Another return flight $1200 plus what ever accommodation and food costs over the time she is in Perth. The joys of working remote.

In the end, the important thing is she gets it fixed...you can't put a price on your health.

Very true, she was a bit upset but the shop manger was fine and her job is there once she gets better.

Wow Mark, all this mucking about must be very frustrating and disappointing for you both.
Hopefully, now that the correct diagnosis has been made, Penny will have this issue sorted.
Best wishes to you both, from Kay and I.

You will just have to work twice as hard to cover for Penny  ;D

Mate, please pass on our best wishes to Penny for a speedy recovery.

All the best for a speedy recovery for Penny mate. It doesn't sound too good the specialist in Kalgoorlie, sounds like there's a reason he's working remote rather than in a preferred location?

Mark, I feel your pain and in the wallet, if she was coming to Sydney, I have a spare room she can use, Hey can any of you Perth swaggers help out here with a bed.  mark has given so freely of his knowledge for swaggers and anyone going to the Cape.  I have been on the receiving end of his knowledge and the constant phone calls to keep us updated when we were traveling to the cape, have never meet Mark but believe we are friends, he passed me he was on the way back from the cape and we were on the way up.  I was driving around Cairns one day when I got a call on the radio, it was Mark following me, such a real nice guy so if you can help him out here I would be grateful.  Thanks for reading guys

Make sure you write to the State Medical Board as well. Not much will happen with an individual complaint but it is the body of evidence that usually will force them to act.

Paul (SA)

If you were coming Adelaide way I would have had a car and accommodation ready for you.

I hope the swagger family in Perth can really round and help out.

All the best.
