I hardly think of myself as a chef but I am not a bad cook.  I cant cook cakes or sweets but I can god a steak really well.  I have a few steak dishes in cook quite well. The only other thing is curries.

We have some friends coming over for dinner tonight and i am cooking the entree and mains.   Entree is Satay chicken on sticks with peanut sauce.  I put the chicken on skewers yesterday arvo, browned them and they have been soaking in some very spicy satay sauce overnight.  I will slow cook them in the oven tonight.

For mains we are having a Thai red curry.  I also browned the chicken yesterday and it has been soaking in some very hot re chillies and paste.  The Mrs is making a chocolate cheese cake.  Hopefully all will turn out well.

Sounds Awesome.

How does the chicken go overnight being par cooked?

I like to do a Moroccan chicken dish, It would be my speciality.

But tonight we are off to skyfire in Canberra with some friends so it will be parmesan chicken and a brownie for desert. The wife will cook that.

I've always preferred to give a job to a person who can actually do it well - so my wife does most of the cooking.
Where I like to dabble is dessert. So far I've mastered -
Toblerone Cheesecake
Baileys Cheesecake.

Fired the COBB up on the balcony and have a Rump point end covered in herbs, and some veg to throw in to the obb as well.

Brought a few fresh quinces today, so I'll make a stewed apple & quince something tonight also...

Yummo some nice sounding dinners so far.

We had homemade sweet & sour pork & fried rice. Pork was crispy like you buy at the takeaway & homemade sweet & sour sauce, so good.

Dinner was a big success.  The Satay chicken sticks were so soft and full of flavor. The red curry had a punch and once again the flavour was awesome. The Mrs cheese cake was pretty good, she wasn't happy with it but I though OK.

A great night with friends having plenty of  and staying the night.  got to go and cook them some Bacon & Eggs now.
