BBQ recommendations

I am looking for a BBQ for my 2014 Jayco Eagle outback and was wondering what other swaggers use or recommend?

I currently have a portable BBQ that I put in the car but I'd rather find something that will fit in the front boot of the camper itself.

Does anyone have one of the new Weber Baby Q's with the higher dome and temp gauge?  I've measured the dimensions and it looks like it would be a pretty tight squeeze, if it fits at all.

Been thinking about one of those as well. The in laws have one in their van, it's a great little cooker.

We have a Baby Q 120 (high lid with temp gauge) which lives in our Quantum. It's excellent and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a camping bbq. Will easily cook for 4, including a roast.

Agreed. Friends of mine use the BabyQ. I think there are a few threads on MySwag about the webber Q.

We have the middle webber and love it. Just that bit more versatile and not too big in my opinion

I use the baby Q without the high lid and it fits easily into my 2014 dove outback,dont think the high lid version is that much higher that it wouldnt fit.

yeah,we all head on over to Kingbilly's place for a BBQ

The baby q with the high lid is the best of the range I've been told by good authority.
It has the best heat distribution and convection of the lot.
The largest is next best and the intermediate is the least good but still better than most compition.
Baby Q with the low lids worthless as to use them properly it's all lid down cooking and you have no temp gage and can't fit a large bird or roast ect.
I've got about 10 weber from the meter or so diameter all the way down to the go anywhere.
This in my opinion is the best travel bbq.
It's charcoal but alot of bbq for the size

I picked up a Baby Q 1200 with the high lid today. $10 more than the standard one but came with a free roasting rack and convection try. This is my 2nd one and we love it. BBQ, Bread, Cakes, Roast. I mounted the last one in the KK on a slide so sold it with the camper.

i know everyone on here is freaks when it comes to the webber!.. However, an alternative (once you try it, you will throw your webber Q in the bin)... is the Sovereign BBQ. http://www.sovereignbbqs.com/products2.html

Stainless, compact, extremely high LID, can fit everything in it, great for BBQ not just roasting, we cook everything in it! And easy to put a temp sensor in the top.

And you can get it to slide out of the camper on a slide already to go!

The new model has enamel split plates. Don't rust anymore allegedly.  The sport in buying one is finding substitute non weber accessories that do the same job for 90% less. Weber accessories operate on the BOHICA principle when it comes to what you pay.

Genuine pizza stone about $40.   Cut down BIGGER pizza stone $8.    It's a great sport avoiding weber accessories.  Should be in the olympics or at least the Commonwealth games

Is it just me or is that one of the worst designed sites you have seen.  I will persevere but only because I am very interested.  If I was the web designer I wouldn't have my name on every page

Very nice, but at close to a grand, I can't see them becoming widely used.

I've tried SS hot plates (incl 3CR12), but don't like them (a whole 'nuther discussion there).
