A member on here - Footy Shorts Shane sells them. I've got one and reckon they're pretty good. No huge contracts etc - just a cheapie prepaid sim with a long life is best.

Hey Mark, I would like to know how accurate they are?  There is no point buying the unit if it only puts in a large area. You would want within a few metres.  I certainly wouldn't cancel my insurance for the unit. ;)

In my tests 3G reception area between 3 to 7 metres, generally accurate to within the single carport.

Tim, we have a new model in production now. I think you will like it  :D

Without turning this into a showroom thread  ;D  a couple of new features include, GPS-A 3G module plus SIRF GPS chipset, (not one or the other, both  ;D ) Optional remote for alarm activation, vehicle alarm adaptability, digital input for an alarm activation (reed switch on a fridge box, tool box etc, or door on caravan/crossover etc).

But the best bit, video monitoring. With alarm activation, the unit will video call the authorised user, providing video evidence of the person driving your stolen vehicle away, or those who entered your caravan/crossover etc unlawfully.

Same deal as the current model, no monthly fees, only prepaid credit.

Shane.
With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

I've got one of Shane's earlier models fitted to my camper and it works fine. Just tested now and it reported a position just outside the garage where the camper is currently located, so probably about 3m from the actual unit.   :cup:

3G.  Will have 850mhz for Telstra users and 900mhz for others.
In production now, so only a few weeks. (I did say that a few months ago too, ::)  )

When using the Google maps link, the inaccuracy is in the app. Android gives a much closer location than Apple.  Still very close though. :)
