42 where I am we headed into Southbank with the bet that everyone else would be heading for the cost due to the G20 and we were right, not much going on in Southbank this morning but the water was cool and that's all we needed.

As for the Cops they seemed to be doing ok just like the rest of us.

I bet the ones on the roof tops weren't feeling quite as good as being in the water but a job to be done nonetheless

Not hot here I don't think it reached 20 but no rain and thunder like yesterday.

Cheers

Boost juice was doing a roaring trade with the cops but that was about it doubt Brisbane will put its hand up for it again though the loss of trade in the city would have damaging.

Had a Vlad Burger though was quite nice did my bit to help the retailers out.

Spent the day on Bribie Island.
Thought it might be cool enough to come home...
Wrong I was.  Says it's still 37 in Morayfield.

Was a guest at a wedding at "Topiaries" at Samford Valley.

We decided to stay in one of their luxurious colonial motel rooms - rather than drive back to BNE (20kms) at the end of the evening...

Well what a disaster!!!  The overpriced and ripoff rooms had no air conditioning..

When world leaders were being accommodated in hotels such as the Hilton's best rooms (like deluxe suites on the executive levels) - and only paying (according to the Couriermail) $280 - $350 per night) - we were being gouged $250 per night (and had no air con...)    As in it was non existent!!!  not broken...

Even allowing for typical wedding industry ripoff mode - that was outrageous...

All the poor bridesmaids and some of the other guests were almost in tears and / or passing out from heatstroke... BAD  BAD  BAD...    Imagine being in a 3pce suit etc - all duded up and being trapped in an oven...

Shameful ripoff

You get out and in to the world -- you take more @#&$. ...You climb a little higher, ..you take less @#&$.  ...Till one day -- you're up in the rarefied atmosphere -- and you've forgotten what @#&$ even looks like....  Welcome to the layer cake son.

Got to 43.4 deg on sat here. I had the on call phones for the refrigeration company I work at. The guy on call did 8 call outs on Saturday alone and I went out and did 4 after 5pm myself cause we were trying to keep on top of it all. Not to mention the 3 more jobs on Sunday. Saturday was definately not fun!!!

We were at Kenilworth Homestead for the weekend.
Woke up at 6.15 Sunday to the sounds of what seemed like everyone breaking camp.
We were gone by 10.30 ourselves and I'd say that well over half the place were gone before us.
Seems like everyone out there got the same idea going by the traffic we copped.

Camped out at teewah beach in the brumby over the g20 weekend......über comfortable with the breeze floating in :) even had a fire goin. Was very busy tho, and the nearly 2 hour jam from beach to the barge was painful in the heat, one BMW x5 refused to start and was stuck in the middle of the road......

Once we got home we wanted to go back the the beach!

Highlight of the weekend was watching a 200 get off the beach with nearly 3500kgs of caravan, did it easy tho, everyone got thru with no bogging

Cheers
2010 TTD Landcruiser, i have added stuff but can't remember what! Slowly gettin quicker at setting up the brumby but breaking camp is another matter....

Fathom

Lol not so at Bribie. There was a constant traffic jam at the beach entry/exit track.
Hugely entertaining for the day. :)
