Booked the campsite at Lake Macquarie a few weeks ago.
Corner site, with fireplace &  tap / hose.

Might have to insist that we spend a day on Stockton beach, rather than 7 days out on the water.

Xmas is best spent camping.

If your staying at Lake Macquarie try blacksmiths beach you don't need a permit. Plus it's not as far to drive as Stockton so you get more beach time.

Haven't tried Blacksmiths yet, have to give it a go.

I usually buy an annual for Stockton, about $30-40 its a good price compared to the NSW National Parks annual pass.

Weekend before Xmas, we're outa here, gonski, on a plane, heading north west, over the top of the Kimberley Coast, off to the land where you can get anything and everything delivered by a guy on a motorbike. Even a cheap pair of thongs:-)
