while doing a search for a Camprite, i came across the All Terrain Camper website who looks to have used nearly Every mainstream camper trailer manufacturer's name in the text on their homepage.. i'm presuming in an attempt to appear in a google search engine result for all of their competitors..

it wouldn't look so unnatural if they didn't capitalise every brand in there.

http://www.allterraincampertrailers.com.au/

and i'll post the link for you all.. - i have absolutely no association to these guys, i just found it amusing.

I think you will find that its as much as about highlighting all the different campers and how there's are, in their opinion better then the rest.  It's a play on words and has been on the site for some time.

I also have no association with the company, however I did own an "All Terrain" before crossing over to the dark side of the Jayco world.... 8)

I see that it was hard fopr them to CUB it though.   :cup:  Individual and unique

very clever advertising. I am sure it get's alot of customers onto their website.

i remember years ago when i was making websites, doing the same thing with the name of one of our suppliers at the time.. our site got better hits and a higher ranking in the search engines.. for weeks the company wouldn't trade with us, until we took their name off the homepage.. hehe

I call that clever.  Kimberley, however, are cheeky!!!

Type in a competitor into Google and nearly the first heading is: Kimberley vs whoever you type in Why Kimberley is better!!  Then when you do click on that specific link there is a comparison chart.  Even if the competitor has the same item listed as Kimberley they write CHECK next to it 'implying' that it doesn't!!

This is the main reason I didn't even consider Kimberley for my new camper purchase!!

Just on kimberley
They also snipe other campers on there website like ultimate.
Bit weak realy
maybe they should spend time updating their design instead

The "Alexa Rating" for this site is 8,639,000, which is very poor in terms of internet rankings. It does show a 200% increase in traffic since the first posting on MySwag. An overuse of keywords in the source code would stifle proper SEO and stats show the site is unlikely to generate much traffic other than from the MySwag post.  For "clever" website promotion it just so happens I know of a sh*@T hot team, but Im not sharing. ;D 8)  The campers look good though, its a good thing the forum supports startup sites and gives these aussie products some well earned exposure.

They have a tough trailer, but the canvas is rubbish, every owner I know with an Allterrain has trouble with mould if the canvas gets wet.

We had trouble with mould on ours.  Why do you think that is?

You had to ask NK ;D It's because you breathe so heavily when you sleep mate.  ;D There are a few here that would agree with me  ;D ;D

Seriously though it is more probable that the design is not adequately ventilated. Our Cub has the same issue if the windows are not openned to let the air through.

Ok, so then is it that the ventalation is the issue rather then canvas quality?

Joff

Mould? never had tat problem with mine. Nor has Slowhilux other than when he closed it up wet and didn't open it again for a month.

Where is this mould supposed to be a problem?

Indeed. Mould likes a damp, dark, still environment. Take away any one of these elements and it won't propagate.

Yeah I tend to agree, the mould in ours started after a very wet weekend.  We did open it back up but it just happened and seen it more as my issue then the canvas quality or lack of ventilation.

Joff

The only mould I have seen on mine is on th extra walls that lived in the roof bag on my car. Some weeks after bad rain I figured out the roof bag wasn't as water tight as I had been led to believe. Can't really say that is a quality issue on ATC's part.

Be interested to know more about your expeience Redback.

Yep, we used to store our side walls under the bed and sometimes they used to get a little mould on them but obviously that was because of a damp environment.  Oh well, All Terrain has got people talking about them again....I would have thought that may have been a que.....

Redback

We have never had mould in ours, even when not opened for weeks after a wet pack up, IMO it's the zip up cover on campers that causes a lot of mould issues, also some may not have been treated properly, ours doesn't have the zip up cover, ours has the bungie cord and I reckon that allows it to breath a lot better while packed up.

Just a theroy, Baz.

What is it about the All Terrain canvas that makes it 'rubbish'?

It gets mouldy to easily, also I haven't had any other owners of other campers I've spoken too having mould issues like this either and they have the zip up cover.

Just a general remark after speaking a few different camper owners, ours has a different issue all together, no mould but the guy who made the top for our camper is our problem, bloody crap quality sewing is our issue >:D
