Are Heaslip Campers still operating?  What is the general impression of their quality?  I,m looking at a 2000 model so any opinions would be helpful.

Cheers

Heaslip had a great name for quality - i doubt you'll find a bad word about them. No I haven't owned one but I remember reading various reports on them and they were certainly seen as a quality product.

Cheers,

Mark.

I think they sold up a couple of years ago, and I don't think any one bought the business, they just closed the doors.

They have a pretty good reputation for quality.

Yes, Rob and Judy finished trading and are currently enjoying travelling around this fine land of ours.
We had a Heaslip trailer in our convoy to the Cape a few years ago, only thing that got damaged was the pole storage box underneath.
With a few "Personalised" mods the a Heaslip trailer park they would be a fine bit of gear.

Angus.

Bloke at work has one, he loves it. He loves the idea of a rear fold soft floor mostly and the canvas quality.

Awesome bit of kit and if it weren't for kids, we would still have one.

Likes:
Quality engineering and canvas work
Well balanced towing
Super quick and easy to set-up and pack-up
Rear drop-down tailgate becomes step to bed/bench seat/table etc
Terrific internal storage in the form of plastic stackable tubs on a roll out trey
Easy to pack/unpack
Gear can be accessed from inside the tent and also locked away if required
Highly practical/functional kitchen

Dislikes:
Limited water capacity
1x9lt gas (prefer 2x4.5l)
No boot/tool box
The fact that we no longer have a Heaslip

Hope this helps Alan, ours was a 98/99 man' year.
