Finally Cairns gets another camping store. Great to see more competition.

Anaconda are opening Sat 4th October near Masters in Cairns.

Get in quick, typically when a new store is open they stock all the quality brands, as the store is established they replace stock with their own branded products.

Yep anaconda have great specials. They brand everything with there label then have constantly 50% off sales on things hyper inflated to begin with.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Must admit that while Anaconda have a huge selection of items I have been a bit disappointed with the quality of some items. Still go to BCF first. But have bought some stuff from Anaconda.

I only found out they were coming to Cairns when someone told me while chatting around the campfire late last night, I can't believe they will be open in a few days :cup:

I've found Anaconda to be a little disappointing. I don't bother going there much now.

same with all the big chain camping outlets. Ok for newbie and refitters looking for gear, but outside of that, when you've got mostly what you need, it's a bit boring.

I've found Kathmandu getting a bit of my cash these day for good quality outdoor gear, particularly clothing and boots, the odd accessory. It's worth signing up to their club and you get the club specials and sale notices.

I think I would rather an Aldi store in Kans myself ...

we have 2 BCF , 2 Green sheds ,  2 Supa cheep ,  and still when ever I go to town they don't have what ever I'm after in stock ...

I've given up losing my Shit at sales staff , just shop online and wait for it too show up in my post office box ...

cheers

Went to spring wood Anaconda yesterday. I see they are not selling Engel fridges anymore. Seems to be more sporting goods as well.
Never ending.

I went to the new store in Cairns this morning, very disappointed with what they had in stock, walked out with nuffin.

But I did go the BCF and it was easy to shop in, everybody must have been at  Anaconda.
