Gazebo in pool area

Hi all

We are looking at two gazebos from Masters. We plan to leave it up permanently in the pool area on the tiles. One has a polyester canopy and the other one has a hard top (poly sheet roof panels).

Firstly, which one is recommended to last the longest and take in the Queensland sun (and rain). Secondly, how would these fare staying up permanently? (I.e. In storms/high wind etc.)

Any feedback on would be greatly appreciated.

First question is what sort of pool eg saltwater?  I have my undercover bar area around my pool area and as the pool is saltwater the environment down there is pretty harsh on steel that isn't galvanised.

It's hard to look a picture to understand how strong these gazebos are, do the have a wind rating? Are they a temp setup or are they concreted in the ground?

They are a temp set up, and both will last a couple of years before looking like crap, depending on where you live

Edit. How they stand up to wind? Well that again will depend on where you live, how you assemble it, how you fix it down. But essentially they are a cheap option with limited life span.

Thanks gents. Wouldn't be without the pool, have had it for 4 years and absolutely love it!

I was not planning on bolting/tieing the gazebo down at all. And yes it is a saltwater pool. The other option was a shade sail but that's ten times more expensive.

The shade sale may cost 10x more, but it'll last 20x longer. With some solid posts holding it up, all you have to do is drop the shade if a cyclone is coming. Those hardware store gazebos will last about 3 seconds in a strong wind

If you don't plan in bolting it down I hope you get on with your neighbors  as it's going to end up in their backyard in the first big storm. These structures (same as Bunnings) are not permanent structures and will not last longer than 18-24 months
