The perfect solution, NOW if we just get EVERYBODY else to adhere to it, The problem I have is when I am the person set up & the others roll in & decide to do their thing just a metre or so away from where I am camped!!!!!!!

agreed

Also agreed.
To little space for camping close to major centres is the big issue these days though.
For a quick weekend getaway you don't want to be travelling 3 hours either way to find a secluded spot, so it is camping with others in a closer proximity.
To be honest I just deal with it. If I'm camping I'm not at home so that has to be a plus anyway you look at it.

It's easy. If someone has a big night and you are family camping, you have a noise morning :D

I shudder when a neighbouring campsite (or even if they are across the campground) decides on Karaoke as an evening activity.

Nothin worse than drunk, out of tune renditions of Locomotion or Keh Sanh sung by people who don't so much as hold a note, but strangle it.....

Agreed.  We have 2 kiddies that love camping. We restrain them in the mornings till about 8am quite successfully. If our neighbours don't respect us and or rights for some peace after a fair time, we let the kids go ape Shit at what ever time they please. Simples

From all the advice on this thread i think next time we get inconsiderate neighbours it will be time to-

Get the chainsaw out, do some nudie runs & hijack a couple of noisy kids from somewhere & give the noisy neighbours hell  ;D

Whenever we camp whether alone or in a group. We try to camp away from others as the missus has to use a genie for about 10-15 minutes morning and late evening. I won't start it much before about 9:00am and the same in the arvo at 5:00pm.

If we are camping and nobody around us. Then whenever someone does camp near us then I always warn them about the genie before they setup. I would say 90% of people don't care as they have been warned but those who whinge then at least I have warned them and I only ever do it with the parks guidelines.

I have lost count over the years how many times I have got up during the night to let other campers there making too much noise. Once again most people are considerate. Those who aren't then I used to start the old 4.2 GQ with a 3inch straight through pipe at 8:00 and let it idle for a while. Funning enough we never had any issues with those campers again

Just coming back from a trip to the Cape with a small group and what we found a bit annoying with people in our group was their inability to just have nothing electronic going. ... Just quiet and conversation. On the end it was good to finally be on our own again.

Grey Nomads I have found are the worst, well maybe not the worst just more of them, so bound to meet some that push my buttons.  Had to stay at Barn Hill just south of Broome several weeks ago after a long tiring drive from the Gibb, if you don't know the place its chockers with Caravans and gray nomads. We had just set up the camper, cooked dinner and the one Led light on/ which is very bright to eat dinner. Old mate in his caravan steps out walks around the back of his van to fill up his bucket from the tap and proceeds to announce that we should angle our light so that when he wanted to step out the back of his van the light wouldn't dazzle him! "Are you serious mate"I replied, " how about I use this Led light to do a colon examination!"

I can assure you that inconsiderate people are not confined to any particular age group ...

BTW, I'd love to be a grey nomad, except that I haven't got all that much hair left ... ;)  ;D .

Went camping out to Darlington Park on the weekend and noticed 5 big scorch marks all in a row on the ground from the firepits. You would think people would be responsible enough to just use one firepit wouldn't you  ???

Some people are so irressponsible. I certainly hope however it was stood around monitoring the fires so they didn't get out of control  ;D ;D ;D
