I was asked the question by my supplier & opted for inside as, I think on my 'cruiser, it would have looked a bit "Dickie" with the white outside.

25 years ago the white lettering went on the outside.
Today, especially if you have black rims, the lettering "should" go on the inside.

The question must be asked - why do you care if other people that you don't even know think you are dickhead??

If people think you are a dickhead for having white writing on the outside of your tyres, they are the dickhead themselves! 

Of course, your friends wouldn't give a toss either way as they won't judge you for what way the writing faces on your tyres.

Okay,

So we have 9 votes for the white writing on the outside, 1 for the inside, 6 people who think I'm a dickhead for asking the question and two other blokes who agree with them.

So it looks like a hung jury. So I think I might go with the outside and see how it feels. If I like it I might start driving at night with my sunglasses on.

And yes I do have a camper, retired two weeks ago and would love to come to the next Myswag meet.

You'll spot me straight away - arriving after dark with crisp white letters on the outside of the tyres and sunglasses on.

I remember about 27 years ago when I had my XB Fairmont 2 door Coupe, I had saved my $$ for months ($600 in 1987) for my BFGoodrich TA's.  i remember it like yesterday, the tyre guy asked me the same question " do you want the white lettering facing out." I just looked at him and he said "stupid question, of course you want the white lettering out"

So, if we split the undecided vote we get 19 for the outside and 16 for the rest. As they say on election night: "it's a tough call this one and could down to the wire".

Anyhow, the white letters are going on the outside, but I'm dropping the sunglasses idea.
