We were happily camped at Coffs Harbour for a few days and having a great time. Went to pack up yesterday and noticed someone had reversed into our camper and bent the stonegaurd and broken the weld. I can easily get it fixed. But might take longer to get the bad taste out of my mouth being a new camper. Chances are the person would have not even know they did it, but if they did they could have just said something.

Seeing a lot more of what they call "Diminished Responsibility" ?hese days.
You are born, you will die.
What are you doing in the meantime?

Few weeks ago I had a rental car in Sydney. Parked overnight in the hotel car park. Next day came out and someone had swiped the front left bumper (reversed in) - left a big white paint mark and scrape.
Didn't leave a note.

So I got slugged for the repairs by the hire company. Was not happy

Dos'nt realy matter even if they do leave a note .. A bloke chasing parts to repair his fresh damaged car , handed me the note left under his wiper , it read " The people who saw me hit your car think I'm doing the right thing and leaving you my details, BUT I'M NOT THAT F***ING STUPID ..."

We have 2 new cars, Damx & a Korando, the Korando is my wifes trolley, she has taken it to the shopping center a few times and it looks pretty
ordinary for a new car, my Dmax will never get anywhere near a shopping center.
Out of the 5 small dings in my wifes car, not one left a msg.
I'm going to buy a beat up old ute for a shopping car.

We had an old "Shite Box" 1996 Mazda 121, parked it anywhere, not a single ding in 7 years... don't ask me about the NXR or XR6, learn't that lesson quickly.

Funny, but no real probs with the tug, must be all the bar work that keeps it nice!!!

My wife spent a hour in a shopping center one day looking for the owner of a car that she nudged with the Patrol. New black Chrysler 300 from memory. Went into the Police beat and all.
Ended up leaving a note on the car. The owners were so stunned and impressed that someone would do this they went out of their way to get the cheapest quote to fix.

I should add ours still hasn't been fixed ??? And she still thinks the tree that I backed into at Levuka leaving a scrape on the bumper was from one of her shopping trips aswell >:D

I saw a Ford station wagon full of back packers back into the front of a BMW last year and they couldn't get out of there quick enough. Unfortunately for them there were a few people who saw it happen and we all caught their number plate! I hope the owner caught up with them.

Why is it that when you go to a shopping centre carpark and park your car way over the back all by itself with tons of empty parks all around you that when you come out there is always another vehicle parked right up close next to you. >:(

I ask myself that very question every time.  And it is not usually a nice shiny new car who is thinking you wont open your nice shiny new door onto them so they should be safr.

Noooo .............its always some oldsh..box that hasn't been washed since new, dents in every panel and bald tires.

I think also a letigious society is to blame

I left a note once and after numeous abusive phone calls and me having to engage a solicitor to explain to his solicitor that this is the purpose of insurance it was finally resolved after 6 months.

All over a ding in the door that the owner of the vehucle and his dodgy panel beater claimed caused 6k of damage.

Ohh and then a further attempted suit for distress and financial hardship cause i kept refffering him to my insurance company and would not just write him out a check

After that one i will leave the rego number of my vehicle and who it is insured by. I will never again leave a phone number, and if i had no way of photographing the evidence of damage i would seriously be thinking twice after the above

Most damage to the car was at the local Shopping centre?????

Saw a mother let her daughter play with the trolley and nearly hit a car...   Luckily it missed and the daughter got an ear bashing...
