Its a bit of a 'OH S**T' moment when you are doing the final check of things the night before you are heading off on a big trip, and you find the fridge 'fault' light flashing and the fridge getting warm.
Start thinking fridge broken, battery gone etc etc.

After a lot of worrying and checking, find out its the new Cig lighter extension cable I bought and using which must be dropping voltage..and causing the fault light to come on.

Direct connect and all is 'Cool' again.

Bit of a heart stopper period.

For every situation you have 3 choices. Live with it, change it, or leave it. But only pick one

LOL, mental note to self.

Don't buy Cig Lighter extension lead for fridge.

Good to hear nothing serious.

If your fridge can run off 240V, run it off that.  Much more efficient and will chill down quicker than running it off 12V.
Do not PM me for technical advice - start a thread.

Bugger but Not as bad as when it starts flashing on the second day of the big trip full of food, and not due to cable problem , That's why I always try to take a empty esky with me just in case . Troy
