Okay over the weekend I browsed a few expandas on gumtree as ours is for sale. Today at work I fire up Skype and the banner at the top has a gumtree ad with our Expanda! Next I book a flight to Brisbane, look up Qantas and Vermin. Next thing on Skype the banner at the top has Qantas!! I change the settings on flash.

Tonight I get home and look up a Nokia lumina 625 phone for the young bloke. Good guys have a good deal so I look there. Hours later I click on the link for the Autocar 6x6 Merc review. And wow look what ad pops up, Nokia Lumia 625 from the good guys!

What's going on?

Here for a good time, not a long time!

Google's been doing this for years. If you want some privacy, use Ghostery and/or Privacy Badger. While you're at it, use HTTPS Everywhere to secure your browsing when possible.

Yeah not so much Google that's doing the spying as more like websites you visit leaving crumbs on your computer (cookies)

the website loads and looks for the cookies to load targeted adds to you. for a while there everywhere i went samsung phones were all over my screen.

delete your cookies from the internet options.

although Google does keep records of what people are searching for and sell this, its worth a lot of money to the right person.

I've actually used many of the ads and links targeted at me.
It's my choice to look at them or not.

I do however still get amazed at the number of russian women who want to marry me???
They obviously can't see me...........or the missus!!!
