Hi everyone

I stumbled across this forum from the guys at 1 year off's blog that we used extensively to plan our trip.

We are just over 2 months into a 12 month trip. We are from Qld & are planning to spend most of that time away in WA & do it properly. We are currently at 80 mile beach & heading north to Broome & then into the Kimberley, so excited. We are travelling in a 76 series toyota landcruiser (Ruby) towing our Trackabout off road camper trailer.

We have started a blog to track our travels, to let family & friends share our holiday & to share information & our experiences with other travellers.

If you want to check out our blog it is reddirtroaming.blogspot.com.au or just google Red Dirt Roaming.

We would love to hear any feedback you have & hopefully we can contribute to the forum.

Gidday guys

I am a fellow traveller having been 'on the road' now for 4 years full time

If you are heading to Broome can I suggest you head a little way up the road to Cape Leveque to a great spot called James Price Point (you may have heard about  in the news over the last few years)

A great spot to camp for a few days

Cheers and Beers

Hi KiwiAngler

That sounds like a top spot, we are looking to do Cape Leveque after we have done a lap around the rest of the Kimberley we will definitely check it out.

Thanks to everyone else for their welcome & comments too

We have made it to Barn Hill station today for 4 nights before we hit Broome. Wow again an amazing coastline!! Got a pretty good campsite away from the crowds which is a bonus!!

We will put our 80 mile beach post on the blog in the next few days.
