I was summoned by the good woman this a.m. to clean up this pile of poo. Can anyone put an animal to it?

With all the water/liquid around it, do you live close to salt water? A domestic cat or dog that has drunk salt water will often leave this sort of thing as it goes straight through them. Otherwise, judging by its location, larger "chunks" and a little bit of white and green stuff, it could maybe have been a bird of prey?

(can't believe I'm examine sh!t this closely!)

I bet his ar$e was sore after pushing that through it.

I must admit, before I got too far down the page, I had my money on ol BHG as the culprit.

How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?  (Homer J Simpson).

If you get any dry python poo, save it and stick it in the shed roof when you get possums. One sniff and they're gone. Saves everything getting fought over and trashed.

BTW snakes and lizards don't urinate - the minerals in wee they add as a white lump on the poo, just like in your photo. If you get some droppings with a white bit on the end, it's from a reptile.

Thanks for that, I'm sure I'll sleep better with the knowledge I've now gained ;)

Snakes take a massive dump when they shed their skin.  You'll probably find a skin in the eves somewhere.  They have a cloaca like a bird, everything comes out at once.

Here's a pic of my baby in the process...

Um OK it's gross.

Nothing to see here - move on.

Aaron Schubert

Unreal. We don't get them like that over here - if we see a wild snake, you want to stay away from it!
