Just finished travelling through Victoria, including the Great Ocean Road, and found the camping facilities and the charges very reasonable.

I have now arrived at Murramarang Camping Park at South Durrass, just North of Batemans Bay (NSW) to stay for 10 days.  The killer charge of $89 per night for two on a powered site.

At that price I would want to be buying shares in the place.

Where are you staying and what are your camping fees ?

we are off to Janowen and then Bribie.
Bribie (ocean beach) - $16 per night for a family (2 adults, 1 child over 5), plus $40 for 4wd permit - $108 for 5 days/4 nights.
Janowen - about $26 per night

all unpowered.

whilst not camping fees, we were going to moreton but just to get there with trailer on ferry is $435!
camp fees are $16 per night, plus $40 for permit.
$540 for 5 days/4 nights! too much for me

I have had a look at their rates and it would appear that you are in high/premium season.

We spent three weeks on the GOR (Great Ocean Ripoff) in March and had charges of $38/night frequently, for sweet bugger all really. I don't know what it is like where you currently are. I would not describe the GOR as reasonable and at $99/night you would not see me for dust.

We are near you at the moruya head land. $16 a site per night. Pit toilets and no showers but plenty of space. 20 metres to the beach

Shakey is that at the c/park that the nrma just bought?
The Bear made me do it!!

Unfortunately it seems that as soon as they post the word "resort" on any camping park the price increases substantially  ???

Yep.  Keep in mind that a lot of canberrans head down that way this time of year as it is cooling off in canberra and still nice down there.

Being serious, did you enjoy it.

My alternative to cheap import trailers;
