Sooo - every single camper  i look at (yes looking at Chinese) has terrible reviews with a few good reviews thrown in - are there any GOOD campers for under $20k - ideally new.  Problem is i dont have the option of going and looking at them in workshops and sales yards as i live in the middle of nowhere - 2400km from Perth, 2000 from Darwin and more to everywhere else!!

JCOJ

There are plenty of Aussie made quality campers that are brand new out there for under $20k - with great reviews from their owners!!

achjimmy

Thought this was about Bruce!

Plenty of exceptional buys in great secondhand ones too. I know often the urge is to buy new but really with a camper it's not imperative and some are as good as new condition with the silly bugs sorted out.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Try and make up a wish list of what you need, will there be kids, what are you towing it with, do you need "full off road" capabilities and be self sufficient, do you want a quick over night set up or are you prepared to spend half an hour setting up and an hour or more packing up
Try doing some sticky beaking at the local camping areas when there are a few people around, most will be very helpful and more than happy to show you their campers and there are a couple of swaggers in Broome as well.
Good luck with the search

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

Ok so on average 10 years old, but still pretty good campers IMO. It all comes down to what features you want and what camper suits each person. Campers are definitely an individual thing, what suits one person may not suit another.

Sounds like you need to get to one of the camping and caravan shows. Lucky you want new because that is what they sell. Good luck!
