Before we set off on our big adventure, I thought it would be a nice idea to have a Meet and Greet bbq on the Saturday 28th at the MacRange Park in their bbq area.

As sunset is due for 6pm, I thought we could meet up at around 5.30pm, have a bit of a chat to each other, and then cook up a bbq dinner.

I will also have the polo tops and stickers etc to give out at that time too.

Would people prefer to just bring their own stuff, or for me to organise the purchase of some pre-made salads, buy a variety of meat from the butchers and each pay $10pp (kids free)?

brickiematt

Great idea John. A good way to kick off the adventure!

We'd be happy with putting in $10pp and throwing some meat on the barbie.

Hi John, a very kind offer but I don't see why you have to go to any trouble.  After all it is your holiday also.  I'm happy to bring our meat and throw a salad or two on the table for all to share.

Looking forward to it.  But I am no where near ready yet.  The pressure is on  :D :D

I agree!
We'll take care of ourselves. No need to burden anyone else.
Soo looking forward to it.

Yeah, great suggestion..
I like the $10 per head idea...

MrCruza

Top idea. We'll go for the BYO option. No need to do everything yourself
Cheers, John.

Well how quick has the last month gone - only two to go!!

Catie and I have had a chat, and it would be easier if it was a BYO rather than we source and you pay $10ph.  It is easy to do here in Adelaide as we know the catering companies we regularly use, but up in Alice they don't have the same pre-made salad ordering places (or any that I could find).  Hope that is ok.

Look forward to seeing you all in two months!!

KingBilly

All good with us, thanks John

Well, g'day.

I am not on the MySwag red centre trip, however it just so happens I will be staying at The Big4 that night and so if it's ok, I might wander over and join you for a quick bev on this night (28th June).

I am leaving the LC200 :'( (and Stozzman  ;D) at home and am taking my 73-year old mum on her first trip to the NT  :cup:.  We are doing a (hire) 4WD  :4x4: and cabin/safari hut/motel Mereenie Loop kinda trip...

We fly into Alice, then drive Ormiston/Glen Helen, Hermannsburg, Kings Canyon/Creek Station, Uluru, Alice, Trephina and as much as we can in between, then fly home.
