Guys

Sold my boat last week and considering selling the outboard.

It's a 2006 Yamaha 15hp two stroke. The engine has been carted around lots and as a result has some cosmetic marks and scratches. However it has genuinely done less than 300 hours in total.

What are they worth?

After an idea before throwing over in the sales section.

Regards

Jas

I recently won the same o/b in similar condition on ebay. Paid 1k.  Seem to go for between 900 and 1100 at that age. Great outboard though. 100:1 fuel oil ratio. Good luck!

We have a 1998 of the same. Best motor ever, had it for five years, never put a spanner on it. Starts third pull on cold start, first after that. I would love to know how many hours we have clicked up on it.
Will never sell it, best motor on / in anything we have ever owned and we bought it second hand. The guy I bought it off still asks if he can buy it back.

Like a good dog, only come along once or twice in a lifetime.

Don't sell it!!!!

Agree totally mate, I am a fisheries officer for a living, these are our most reliable and trouble free engines. This one had 279 hours when I bought it. I have used it twice since. Just start it every now and then.

I'm with AZZ,
Keep it. Had lots of outboards (and still have lots of outboards) and the yammy is the best.  Only one ever my young daughter can start by herself.
