Easter Saturday hopefully pushing up the tanami headed to the Kimberley for the best part of a month. If there is some rain and GRR and parks are not open will head straight north and kill some time barra fishing in the VRD for a week or so before heading west

    Sat down in front of that two and a half years ago and had one of the best pies I've ever eaten.

Straddie, Fliders Beach.
Just finished the booking, over on the 12:00 non ferry Saturday 5th, back wed 9th.
This will be the first time on the beach for me for 20 years, bit embarrassing considering where I live isn't it.......
The kids are over the moon about it. 

so how did you fair there this afternoon? was out on the bay and had to skirt the storm that was headed in that direction (though first storm looked to be heading for the Southern end of the island but not sure exactly what happened with the second storm around 3.00 p.m), here's what we saw whilst out there anyhow .....

Yeah we got a heap of rain and wind back here.  I hope you tied the chopper down on the deck of the boat Mal. Would hate for that to fall off into the drink.

Chopper was safely locked down in position mate the second last pic should have been epic if i'd had a DSLR camera with me, it was an almost apocolypic cloud set up, but my phone pic does it no justice at all.
looks like another lot of storms / heavy rain going over Straddie at the moment on the radar, i hope DaveR was set up well for wet camping

Working Easter weekend, but managed to negotiate the week before off work.
Heading from SA to Bright, Victoria with nights stop off at Halls Gap on way there and Swan Hill on return trip.

Managed to do a reccy up the Murray on Saturday and picked out our spot for Easter, with some alternates for bad weather and/or other campers - look like going up next Monday or Tuesday as we all got next week off
