Sorry guys was reading other thread & by the time I got to the end & had a question it was locked.
My question is, if I have one of the cheapies like Muzza, do you think it would be reasonable to ask seller to replace under warranty? Was planning on replacing before we get off blacktop, but was going to leave it whilst just doing short "get to know your camper" trips not far from home.
Would it be a waste of time to try & argue that if its non compliant then it should be replaced. Just curious for other swaggers

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

Moggy ask them to show you the compliance. If they can't ask them to provide a complied coupling. If they won't inform them it's not roadworthy and you will be returning it for rectification and notifying the state authorities.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Moggy, I think they retail for about $90 on eBay. A proper Treg, OZHitch, DO35 etc will cost around $300. I don't think it is unreasonable to ask your CT seller to refund you $90 to go towards a compliant hitch.
