I personally don't see the point of Xtrails or those sort of Cross breed pretend type of vehicles.

If you put that on the back of your car, you look like a w..ker.

If you were in a proper 4wd, fair enough, but put it on the back of an Xtrail and knock real 4wd's, that's just dumb.

I think it's a harmless bit of fun that more than likely true. Bob and Rob probably do take their Xtrail offroad more than most.
Lets not take things too seriously.
What's with all of this "proper 4wd" and real 4wd statement. Is the Challenger the epitome of a real 4wd? Each to their own I say.

They have their place.  For the person who mostly is on the blacktop and does the occasional run along the beach (most 'soft roaders' are quite capable in sand) or wants slightly more ground clearance on dirt roads they do fine.

When I recently went to Fraser one of the guys in our group drove a Vitara, and with the exception of the bypass track at South Nkgala rocks he went everywhere we did without assistance.

Bob - looks like you've upset at least one  :cup:

My BIL has a Vitara & I don't think you can put an XTrail in the same category i.e. transfer case etc!
I can't see that you'd upset too many but it does smack of a little bit of insecurity but it's up to you.

LOL 02-SR5, I guess I should've left out the word "Real"...would've you'd seen the humor then?
But I suppose, if it was on the back of a "Real" 4x4, it just wouldn't have made any sense either  ;)

I agree, but no different to the chev badge on a commy

And a challenger is any different? Where is the line for a proper 4wd?

I don't care what people drive, as long as they get out there, and I don't really give to hoots about what sticker you put on your car but, expect to cope abuse out on the road driving around with a sticker like that. Good luck, hope your wife doesn't drive that car lol

EDIT, there is also the people who will get a good laugh out of it also ;D

Aren't the Xtrails the ones Nissan won't honour your warranty if components fail off-road? Had heard a story or two in passing.

Nice way to miss the whole point.

each to their own, it's just a sticker.

its no different to the Nissan or Toyota Recovery vehicle stickers. Might be a bit of a laugh when  you get yourself stuck ;)

My only concern if it were my car would be if the police determined that sticker to be blocking too much of the back window restricting visibility.

What ever floats your boat. I think the xtrails are adequate enough, I ve seen enough on the tracks to see there capable, just like suzukis, Subaru and the rest. Jeez years ago we went every were in falcons and kingswoods and I mean everywhere.

I rather be in a well driven xtrail than with a tosser in a landcrusier .
Here for a good time, not a long time!

I'm not keen on stickers. Myswag sticker is compulsory but any others is not my thing.

33 inch tyres, tick,

3 inch suspension lift, tick,

Bullbar, tick,

Roller drawers, tick,

Factory diff lockers, tick, etc, etc, etc,

I can keep going, but to compare an Xtrail with a proper 4wd is just dumb.

We have an x-trail and as good a car that it is I certainly wouldn't be taking it the places that I've taken my patrol.

I don't like the sticker either but it's not on my car so who cares.
