Yes as the title suggests, Mt Dare Hotel on the edge of the Simpson is for sale as per its Facebook page announcement.

I dont know any more details but id imagine it could be quite a little business for 6 months or more of the year??

Not sure I'd want to buy it, but I wouldn't mind running it for a season.

sold back around June sometime didn't it? i vaguley recall reading of a big party being organised in the town for when Lynnie Plate was leaving town

The Pink Roadhouse at Oodnadata had new owners take over in September.  They were doing handover stocktake last time we were there.

The lease on MtDare has been for sale since at least early this year.  Dave just finds it hard to balance with his other business interstate.

It takes special people to run these businesses. I hope they find someone so none of them have to close.

Correct, and the article here is a fantastic read... what a party it would have been. Lynne and her late hubby sound like great people too...
