No camping for us for awhile :(

I'm going in for surgery on my ankle later this week so looks like the CT will sit in the garage for awhile I was really looking forward to a few weekends away this summer

Weso told me he would stock you up with 2 minute noodles while he went camping without you. Terrible thing to do. I would never do something like that.  Hope you get better soon Socks.

My wife has had 2 lots of foot surgery this year and is still on crutches.  No camping at all this year and probably another few months.

Good luck with the surgery mate. I've been getting over a broken scaphoid so havnt been allowed to drive for 2 months so been no camping or 4wding for me. I can sorta feel you pain.

Nah not broken. I've got 2 snapped ligaments and a piece of loose cartilage under the talar bone

Best of luck with the surgery, I had a spine operation in August with plates and bone grafts and have not been able to go camping since, but this weekend Im taking the Goldstream to Tumut for the first time since the op, really looking forward to it

totally agree I just about lost my foot a few years back on crutches for about 6 months in hospital every couple of days except weekends for about 4 of those months and still managed to go camping and fishing quite a few times booze is great medicine to numb the pan problem is I think I am addicted to the self prescribed liquid pain killers

Slave had his torn ligaments repaired in May (2 days before we should have left for 3 month trip away), followed by plaster for 2 weeks, one of those keeping it elevated all day. Followed by the moon boot and off work for 4 months until the swelling reduced enough  to get his work boots on. Six months later swelling still occurs mainly on hot days and when he stands for too long. No fishing and no camping !

Good luck with your surgery and I hope your recovery is better than Slave's
