Stick it on the back of your camper, direct your smartphone at it and voila, instant reverse camera when backing up the trailer.  Neat.

Don't think much of the camera but the website's pretty good.

PS if you have 2 apple devices, ipod or ipone, doesn't matter .. there's a free app that lets you turn one into the camera and the other into the reciever.
same thing.... multi uses.
the name escapes me but it had a picture of a hummingbird on it.

Now THAT sounds great.  However, presumably it needs to be within coverage area of the carrier, so may be a bit difficult when travelling in remote areas.

I can see other uses for this. Like when SWMBO hears something in the night I could check the yard without getting out of bed! Or she could check the horses without turning every light on, slamming every door, and yelling at the dogs!  ;D
SWMBO reminds me of a Prodigy song....

So who'll be the first to get one and let us all know how it goes?

it'as not a problem the apple devices use their own wifi bluetooth whatever it is. the connection is between the 2 devices, nothing to do with the phone network.
I'll find out what it is

PS we've used remote live to be able to manouver the loaded car to the hitch.
Mrs B or one of the kids just points an iphone (camera) at the back of the car and I can see the action from my iphone (screen) in the drivers seat.
as I wrote before, it does not need a phone network to work, it's a direct wifi connection between the two devices.

Hi MB, I'm interested in this. Could you give me a bit of info on this please. Keep it plain english, I'm not even up to the "computers for dummies" stage. For me it's more "electronics for poor simple b#%*^rds" .

How you get the two devices to talk to each other, I thought they have to go through the home wifi.

If I'd known how to do this last night it would have saved some grief as I had to quickly back a loaded trailer into the garage out of the rain while the garage had s#*t everywhere requiring SWMBO to let me know if I was going to hit something. U know how it is, they go into stealth mode and stand  behind something in the darkest part of the garage with both hands in their pockets until you hear a bang, eventually followed by a rather meek "stop now"

Just done the same with Samsung devices, a Galaxy 2s phone and Tab2 10.1
