When I looked at all the painted pressed metal in this camper, I wondered how it would look after a few years of wear and tear. Nice design though.
200 Series 2008, bull bar, Airmax snorkel, rack with 200 watt solar, third battery, winch, 33's with 2 spares, long range tank, drawers & barrier, bash plates, lifted & locked, Richards transmission lockup plus plenty of dings. Now towing the new Off Road Glamper.

Novice and trying to find stuff out, bought a customline which is being built at the moment. Very happy with my decision. Someone at work was telling me about these campers, so just wanted to see what people on the forum thought about them.

TVan and Vista RV.

Couldn't afford either so bought an Adventure Trek ( now Lifestyle ) AT10.....

But I like the idea of no canvas.......and one reason you'll get heaps of different opinions....because everyones different !!

Looked at them and chose an Echo4x4 Kavango. None of the similar Australian ones had flexible accommodation for 4. The front bed of the 490 is too short and it's a couple of hundred kg heavier than the echo. Also a bit wider so was a squeeze to get it down a lane way at home. Suits our needs and because of the ease of setup and packing away in all sorts of weather we've already used it more at the same time of the year than the soft floor it replaced. That makes it good value regardless of price.
