Photos from the destructive testing of Maxtrax performed by the University of Queensland Materials Sciences Lab......would like to see a pic once the load was released.....

Many probably don't realise that MAXTRAX are designed by Australian engineers and are thoroughly tested, with enhancements made over a number of years.

Certainly looks impressive, the only concern I have with alot of plastic products are that while they are new they pass all the tests and perform well. What I would really like to see is the same test on a set that have travelled around for 6 months on top of a vehicle and exposed to the sun.

Still think they are a great thing though.

Must be the passenger side with the wife in.
Wouldn't want to take the pressure off real quick as it might take off.
I haven't got any but saw some being used under a loaded Canter 4by & I thought they would be damaged in one way or another but they worked well & came to no harm.
Certainly my choice if I was in that market!

Static test, really how many people are going to park there fourby on them over a large hole? Needs dynamic load and they will break, boss with his chev Patrol and muddies shredded a set. In saying that they work and work well. It's just they are far from indestructible.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Red Dog 4x4

After seeing a winch challenge truck try to get up a meter step up and fail, the navi, grabbed the 4 maxtrax off the truck put two stacked together at his wheel and the other two at the drivers wheel them proceed to drive straight up them with out braking, I was sold....

But totally agree with the above leave them in the sun for 6 months then test again..
