Tough Toy Awnings

Hi

Anybody have any experience with these awnings?? They have a 3m x 2.5m for $270.00. Reads quite well with LED light and well fitted out etc

Not sure about the video.  I often set my awning up to then sit in the sun.

I came across them yesterday whilst flirting with the idea of one on my car..............I jsut cant bring my self to do it.

I was looking at the 2m long by 3m wide one for $269 plus delivery.
I am not really interested in the led light but hey if its there.

Things I think need altering are the bracket mounts, they are very long.
I am not sure weather the spreader poles would be prone to bending over a 3 metre span either.

Lol, I just had to check the video out.........kinda funny sitting in the sun but I guess it was more about the setup

If I am set up for the whole day than I try to have the drivers side facing to the north....

I had not seen this brand until this post we are looking at the same size you have mentioned but from supapeg as I like the 2m across the car on the dual cab.

Similar price I think $239 and pole kit $29 + postage it is the one I keep coming back to that's all

Supapeg 3m x 2m is $649.00. I do think they're a great awning but are they nearly 3 times that much better???

Everyone is different but for those of you that might sleep under the awning on a fishing weekend etc the 3m length is great if it starts to rain during the night.

This is the one that I have been looking at and the 2m is along the car and 3m out, I think the one you mentioned the measurements go the other way so 3m along the car which is showed on 4wd wagon and a van and is the stand easy option.  We are looking at the other measurements as we have dual cab and don't want it too long along the car.  Sorry for the confusion. 

To the Op sorry as you were asking about a different type of awning not this one here and not sure if this was the measurements you meant hope you find what you are after.  Cheers

So that is 2.5m along the vehicle and 3 meters away from the vehicle.

I like the simplicity of the basic Evo Rv one, but they don't miss you. $239 for the awning, plus postage then another $50 for the aluminium twist poles. Then another fifty if you want to upgrade to military grade webbing and two sand pegs in a canvas bag..............

Yeah I just looked at the basic pole kit and probably wouldn't get the other stuff so wasn't too bad.

Between this purchase and Mcgirr's bloody lights  I'm going to get divorced!!

Just hide it in the shed until you get a quiet half an hour to get it fitted to the truck and see how long it takes for her to notice.......

I looked at them all and ended up, going with ARB. I liked the Supapag, but preferred the aluminium runner at the front of the ARB and the way the poles folded into the alloy and was away from the canvas when packed.

They work well. I bought 8 in total one for each side of my work fleet of 4 vehicles. I got them for a tad over $300 each with brackets to suit the Rhino system. I went with ARB because they were Ozzy and I figured they had agents everywhere if my staff broke one and needed a part in a hurry. Quality wise I don't think they are better or worse than any of the others, I just liked some of the features.

I looked at the ARB and they look very good however price was $325.00 plus $40.00 for brackets with no negotiation. That's $80.00 dearer. Also no LED light in ARB.

Try another dealer mate. I got six off one bloke who was giving me a super deal "allegedly" because i was buying bulk, and my staff at Tamworth walked into the local ARB agent and got two for $30 less per unit? Go figure!

The ARB will cost $50 or $60 more than the others. I was happy to pay as I believe the parts back up will be there if required (ours are used commercially) and the money more or less stays in Oz.
