Help is required from all travellers who visited Innaminka  from Wednesday 4th Sep 2013.

We hit the road on our Central Australia trip with two other families last Saturday 31st Aug 2013.

We left Innaminka on Wednesday 4th Sep 2013, but we fuelled up first.  Just prior to fueling up, my wife took all her rings, (5) including wedding ring, eternity ring and engagement ring off to rub cream into her hands, placing the rings in her lap.

For some reason, she has got out of the vehicle, forgetting the rings which have then fallen on the ground somewhere near the fuel bowsers at Innaminka.

She didn't realise this until we got to Cameron Corner, searching the seat and turning her side of the car upside down, before telling me.  It was a quite trip for the next 300km.

We have spoken to the General store at Innaminka, but nobody has handed them in as yet.  It was a very busy few days at Innaminka with the races and people travelling onto Birdsville for their races.

Can I ask if anybody finds these rings, which are very important to both my wife and I, could you get in contact with me. There will be a reward for their return.

Thanks
Frostd

Thanks guys. Nick,  if you could put it up on that Facebook page, it would be appreciated. I can't seem to log on. The wife spoke to Innaminka this morning, but still no good. Oh well the trip must go on. Off to Arkaringa today.

Can just imagine how devastated she must be feeling.  :'(

Any chance they're covered under your house and contents insurance?? Doesn't mean much sentimentally, but at least you won't be as much out of pocket if you choose to replace.

Dee.

Clouty

That's devastating.. :'(
Best of luck finding them..

kiwi_camper

I'm sure your wife is feeling devastated. Some things are sentimental and therefore irreplaceable. I had a number of sentimental items stolen in a home robbery and even though they were covered by insurance, I was unable to replace a lot of it. I hope that someone honest found them and recognises the significance of the items they have found. It seems unusual that they didn't hand them in at the petrol station. I would continue trying to get the information out there. Not knowing the area you were in at all, are you able to notify the local police station or ask the petrol station to put a flyer up with your details on it? Good luck! Fingers crossed for a good result........and soon.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

SambOz

Who do you hand lost property to when you find it ?

Report this loss to the local Police Station ASAP = Good luck in getting them back !

Murph

And anybody who dosent hand in important finds like this is guilty of stealing by finding!!! how could you live with yourself if you didn't take every effort to find the owner!!!!

Rumpig

Geez Terry that's no good, i hope you have some luck in getting them back. hope you don't mind, i've started a thread on several other forums also asking for help to locate them for you.
i hope the rest of your trip is going along without incident mate.
cheers.

If you've pics of the items post them up so they show up on Google. I hope they are returned to you.

Several years ago we found a ladies purse.  Called her from her details. 10 mins of talking had her convinced that we had her purse. When she came to pick it up she couldn't believe all the cash was still there. She forced us to accept Dreamworld vouchers.

3 days later we are walking through the mall and there is $50 on the ground with no one around.
Carma.

5 months later I'm at the market. I've just taken $1k out of the ATM. A few mins later a women comes up to me asking strange questions.
I put my wallet down earlier to pick something up and walked off and she tracked me from my licence photo.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I hope the right person finds it.

hey Frostd...did you try contacting the SA Parks people there also, or even the Police at Birdsville to see if anyone handed them in at all?
i know chances are slim that happened, but it's atleast worth a couple of calls to try and find out if you haven't done so mate.
