Hi All,
We are headed up to Fraser Is next month with our 12mth old. What does everyone here use on their little ones to keep the mozzies and blow flies off?
Thanks!

Bushman or if you want a natural alternative you can try vanilla Mozi - I found it good for my youngest as he has sensitive skin plus as its a cream I could rub it to any exposed skin - also not greasy and smells nice.

Not sure how well it works on the blow flies but it was great for mozzies and midgies

I won't use bushmans on the little ones as it warns against it. 'Off' is an option that more safe. And long sleeves, pants etc is important.

Could always head to toe with glad wrap....

My wife came up with what I think is a brilliant idea to keep the kids mozzie and fly free...

Use an old dome tent (minus fly) as a play / refuge area. They can be put up in a minute or two - you don't even really need pegs because they are self supporting and, without the fly, the tent's mesh 'inner' doesn't tend to get blown around much.

They are also completely insect proof (and free if you have an old dome tent at home).

We use the mozzie patches, just stick one onto their clothes in the morning and its good for the day. Stick another on their sleeping bag at night.
